A development of M4 GT3 model, BMW unveiled the M4 GT3 EVO in advance of the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring. This new version is fully integrated into an EVO kit for the 2025 season and has improved aerodynamics.

Introducing M4 GT3 EVO

It is noteworthy that the M4 GT3, which takes the place of the M6, gets a midlife facelift in 2022, just three years after it was introduced. It's crucial to keep in mind that before making significant adjustments, automakers often hold onto a new GT3 vehicle for four years.
According to Sportscar365, BMW has formally unveiled the M4 GT3 EVO in advance of its 2025 premiere, coupled with the news of an upgraded GT4 vehicle that will make its public debut the same year. The initial three-year lifetime of the base model is followed by the launch of the M4 GT3 EVO to BMW's global customer base in 2025.

As mentioned in the article, this was initially detailed by Sportscar365. This release signifies BMW's first-ever announcement and rollout of an Evo kit to its customers, with development overseen by factory drivers Augusto Farfus, Jens Klingmann, and Bruno Spengler.

In the M4 GT3 EVO, you'll notice redesigned, more compact side mirrors and increased airflow through larger vents in the front wheel arches. Furthermore, adjustments to the rear wing provide enhanced aerodynamic performance.

Autosport reported that the unveiling of the M4 GT3 EVO took place at the Nurburgring, just ahead of the annual 24-hour endurance race scheduled for June 1-2. Updates to this GT3 contender include smaller rear-view mirrors, increased air outlets in the front-wheel arches, and adjustments to the rear wing aimed at enhancing aerodynamic efficiency.

Furthermore, new anti-roll bars on both axles, larger rear brake discs, and a more user-friendly differential have been introduced to mitigate tire and brake wear. The Evo model also features revamped headlights and taillights as part of its upgraded package.

To reduce weight, unpainted dark areas of the livery showcase the raw carbon fiber. The price tag for the BMW M4 GT3 Evo has been established at 578,000 euros.

What's Next

According to MOTORSPORTWEEK, BMW has hinted at the next generation of the M4 GT4, which will be more appropriate for the competitive GT4 sector and be positioned as a less extreme version of the GT3 EVO with less aerodynamic downforce and power output.

Head of BMW M Motorsport Andreas Roos stated, since its launch, the BMW M4 GT3 has accumulated more than 70 victories and many noteworthy accomplishments. He specifically reminisced about the DTM championships in 2022, the triumph at the 24h Spa-Francorchamps in 2023, and the title achievements in the North American IMSA series.

He firmly believed that the BMW M4 GT3's EVO edition and the BMW M4 GT4 will play significant roles in the premier league of GT racing in the upcoming years, leading to numerous victories. Furthermore, he expressed his appreciation to all those who played a part in creating these vehicles.

According to Motor1.com, the official images fail to capture the true scale of the M4 GT3 EVO, as it boasts an impressive size. Measuring 197.6 inches in length, it's almost as long as a 7 Series E65, and at 80.3 inches wide, it rivals the width of a Bugatti Chiron.

It's worth noting that the dimensions remain unchanged compared to the non-EVO version. To reduce weight, the race car has shifted away from traditional painting methods and now utilizes cathodic dip coating. Furthermore, certain body sections now showcase exposed carbon fiber by eliminating the non-reflective matte black foil.
