Ineos Automotive recently unveiled the launch of its latest initiative, the Arcane Works program, tailored to craft exclusive editions of its Grenadier SUV. This program enables clients to customize their off-road vehicle with unique features and premium materials.

Ineos Arcane Works Program

Arcane Works is set to introduce exclusive editions of the Grenadier, allowing customers to customize them according to their preferences, including unique paintwork and interior upholstery. Ineos also mentions that each batch of limited-edition vehicles under this service will present distinct features and innovative technologies, each uniquely named.

Introducing hand-finished, individualized Grenadiers, Ineos targets upscale markets dominated by competitors like the Mercedes G-Class and upscale Land Rover Defenders.

As reported by AutoExpress, set to debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Arcane Works offers a bespoke service providing buyers with an extensive range of materials and customization options for the Grenadier.

Beyond aesthetic enhancements, the program will serve as an innovation platform for new technologies like powertrain enhancements, advanced chassis systems, and novel color and material applications.

Regarding the new program, Ineos Automotive founder George Ratcliffe expressed that Arcane Works aims to produce a uniquely customized 4x4, meticulously crafted with premium materials and personalized details by a select team of artisans.

Recognizing that this is a demand from their customers, the company acknowledges that producing in limited quantities enables them to offer a truly personalized journey. This rationale behind naming the initiative Arcane stems from the vehicles' exceptional uniqueness, making them a rare sight in everyday settings.

According to CarScoops, the term arcane signifies being "known or understood by very few, mysterious, secret," emphasizing the exclusivity of the offerings. Ineos explains that every limited-edition vehicle release will highlight distinctive features, introduce fresh technologies, and be branded with a specially crafted name.

Furthermore, CarScoops reported similar to the standard Grenadier models, the Arcane Works variants will offer the choice between two BMW-sourced 3.0-liter straight-six engines - the B57 diesel and the B58 petrol.

However, vehicle owners will have the opportunity to enhance the powertrains and the ladder frame chassis to boost performance and off-road capabilities. In this capacity, Ineos plans to utilize the Arcane Works program as a testing ground for upcoming vehicle iterations.

Pricing and More

As reported by Autocar, Ineos mentioned that each Arcane vehicle will serve as a platform for testing upcoming technologies, materials, and enhancements for the current lineup of BMW-derived straight-six engines.

The company has not revealed the pricing or production volume of each vehicle yet. However, Ratcliffe, stated that these vehicles will be exceptionally rare in the market. The inaugural models are set to debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.

As reported by SGCarmart, the upcoming Arcane Works program will operate from the Hambach production facility in France, which Ineos purchased from Mercedes-Benz in 2021.

This site will not only host the customization service but also function as a platform for testing Ineos' latest technologies and innovations, such as enhanced engine modifications, fresh chassis systems, and a variety of novel materials and features.
