Stellantis' cooperation with Sixt, a major mobility service is a milestone. Following Sixt's decision to part ways with Tesla, Stellantis secured a substantial 250,000 vehicle deal with the renowned rental giant. This partnership will boost Stellantis' North American and European automobile market dominance.

Sixt, Stellantis Vehicle Delivery Agreement

Sixt will buy SUVs, urban cars, vans, lorries, and cutting-edge battery-electric vehicles under this deal. Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares emphasized this strategic move after Sixt said it will phase out its Tesla fleet.

Europe's largest car rental company, Germany-based Sixt, has committed to procuring 250,000 Stellantis vehicles for utilization in both European and North American markets, with completion anticipated by 2026.

As shared in recent reports, in this strategic partnership, Sixt has committed to procuring a staggering number of vehicles within the span of the next three years.

This decision comes after Bloomberg published Sixt's Tesla fleet phaseout. Sixt took this serious course due to a notable depreciation in used electric vehicles (EVs), rising maintenance expenses, and diminishing Tesla model demand.

The size and variety of vehicles gained through this relationship with Sixt are significant. The deal includes Stellantis's innovative electric automobiles.

As indicated in reports, the automotive giant intends to investigate potential partnership avenues with Sixt in multiple global regions, including Mobilisights, as outlined in the recent press release.

Sixt's purchase of Stellantis vehicles, including BEVs, supports its goal of reducing rental fleet CO2 emissions. It aims to achieve a substantial share of 70-90 percent electrified vehicles in Europe by 2030 as part of its environmental sustainability efforts.

Moreover, its charging infrastructure investments, App development into a sustainable mobility ecosystem, and rapid branch and facility CO2 emission reduction are supported by this program.

Furthermore, Stellantis and Sixt both have ambitious decarbonization strategies and customer-centric approaches, emphasizing sophisticated technologies, according to Sixt's website. Stellantis and Sixt will consider global Mobilisights cooperation.

Mobilisights, a part of Stellantis's data-as-a-service (DaaS) division, is set to facilitate the creation and licensing of innovative business-to-business products, applications, and services, with a focus on developing data packages. These offerings will be made accessible to Sixt, fostering a mutually beneficial partnership.

Stellantis Implements Layoffs Impacting Hundreds of Temporary Employees

After working at Stellantis for a duration of nine months and being on the brink of transitioning to a permanent position, Amy Wilmoth received life-changing news last week. She was abruptly laid off from her position at the Warren truck plant.

Wilmoth is just one among numerous temporary employees at Stellantis who have faced job losses, even after she had recently received documentation indicating her imminent transition to full-time status.

Given these circumstances, she felt betrayed by the company and the union defending her interests. Stellantis informed FOX 2 through an official statement that it had conducted a routine evaluation of its staffing levels, resulting in the layoff of 539 temporary employees across the country, with Wilmoth being one of those affected workers.

She expressed her strong emotions, including anger, hurt, and devastation, regarding the situation. According to her, the company cited performance and attendance issues as the reason for terminating certain supplemental employees, as mentioned in a letter.

However, Wilmoth claims to have had an impeccable track record with the company and disputes these allegations.

Aol. news shared Fox 2 report about this recent development.
