The 2025 Nissan GT-R was unveiled in Japan and the highlight of this launch is the addition of a striking blue interior option. It is scheduled for availability in June. Notably, the Premium Edition T-spec and Track Edition models feature hardware inheritance from the Nismo Special Edition, signaling an exciting evolution for the 2025 Nissan GT-R. Rumors suggesting the potential end of the R35 era by 2025 add to the intrigue surrounding this latest unveiling.

Blue Interior for Nissan GT-R

Reports from Car and Driver revealed that the production of the 2025 Nissan GT-R in Japan is limited. Thus, prompting uncertainty about its availability in the United States for the same year. More details anticipated to be disclosed on March 14. As Car and Driver shared, Nissan has not officially confirmed the fate of the GT-R. But the unveiling of the 2025 model in the Japanese market aligns with these speculations.

The 2025 Nissan GT-R has undergone a few minor changes. Notably, the supercar has been given a touch of refinement. Nissan added a stunning Blue Heaven inside upholstery to the Premium Edition. This is now the base model in the United States.

Additionally, the T-Spec and Track Edition models, engineered by NISMO, have undergone enhancements, including weight-balanced piston rings, connecting rods, and crankshafts previously exclusive to the NISMO Special Edition.

These models also boast aluminum certification plates and gold-colored number plates in the engine bay, underscoring their high-performance pedigree. As reported by Motor1.com, the 2025 Nissan GT-R boasts intricate details within its engine bay, such as an aluminum plaque indicating the builder of the car and a gold-colored chassis number plate, adding a personalized touch to the revered model.

For enthusiasts opting for the Premium Edition, the enticing option of the Blue Heaven interior is now available, elevating the interior allure of the legendary Godzilla. Priced at approximately $105,400, this trim level offers a compelling choice, while the more affordable Pure Edition comes in at $97,700.

On the higher end, the Nismo Special Edition stands as the most luxurious variant, priced at $207,000. Notably, Nissan has commenced accepting orders for the 2025 GT-R in Japan, with a caveat regarding limited production, potentially leading to order constraints in the event of overwhelming demand.

Production: Number of Units to be Sold

Nissan has not disclosed the production volume of JDM-spec GT-Rs for the 2025 model year, but according to Mag-X, reports suggest a limited assembly of only 1,500 units, including 300 of the high-performance Nismo derivative. The Japanese magazine further alleges that Nissan has communicated to dealers that the supercar is slated for discontinuation due to anticipated challenges in sourcing certain parts in the future.

When the report was published last week, the automaker's US branch was contacted for a statement, but a spokesperson declined to comment. Subsequently, the confirmation of limited production for the 2025 GT-R has validated at least one aspect of Mag-X's report, particularly in the context of the Japanese market.

Motor1.com reports that the R35 has been in production since December 2007, with its development beginning as early as 2000. Preceding the production model, two concepts were unveiled: one at the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show and the GT-R Proto at the same event in 2005. Notably, the Hyper Force concept, revealed at the rebranded Japan Mobility Show last year, serves as a strong indication of Nissan's intention to pursue an all-electric GT-R, presenting a tangible dream to achieve by the end of the decade.
