Southern California and under Chinese ownership, proudly revealed its latest masterpiece: the all-electric Karma Gyesera grand tourer. As the company celebrates its tenth year as the only producer of ultra-luxury vehicles in the US, this reveal marks an important turning point. Embodying the brand's new strategic and branding direction led by President Marques McCammon, the Gyesera sedan represents a bold step forward in luxury vehicle innovation and design.

Karma Gyesera: Evolution of GSe6

The release of the four-door model is anticipated towards the conclusion of 2024. In the past, the car manufacturer hinted at the GSe-6, described as a luxury electric sedan, but unfortunately, it never progressed beyond the conceptual phase. Karma President Marques McCammon emphasizes that the alterations made in transforming the GSe-6 into the Gyesera have rendered the two vehicles essentially unrelated.

As reported by Motor1.com, the Gyesera represents an evolution of the GSe-6, a fully electric sedan unveiled in 2021. The design of the GSe-6 bore similarities to the plug-in hybrid Revero launched in 2016, which succeeded the short-lived Fisker Karma introduced in 2011.

Eighty-five percent of the car has been modified, according to McCammon. Vice President of Global Design at Karma Michelle Christensen brazenly declares that the new Gyesera is "the most exceptional GT on the streets."

As per Driving report, the executive informed Automotive News that their battery design is entirely distinct. The battery cell modules they possess are different, along with a new interior, exterior, and significantly improved vehicle performance.

Pricing, Release Date

Karma Automotive stated that all exterior body panels of the Gyesera have undergone redesigning, with the exclusion of the rear quarter panels. Nevertheless, the resemblance of the low-slung profile to the original Fisker Karma's styling, introduced in 2011 and lasting just under two years on the market, is unmistakable.

Motor1.com also shared release date and pricing for Karma Gyesera EV. Karma Automotive is aiming to commence production before the conclusion of this year, with the possibility of an early market launch in 2025. The electric sedan will have a limited production, with approximately 2,000 units planned to be manufactured over a four to five-year production period.

The report also cited another reports from Automotive News, the cost is anticipated to range between $175,000 and $225,000, positioning it significantly higher than other electric vehicles such as the Tesla Model S (starting from $74,990), Porsche Taycan (starting from $99,400), Mercedes EQS (starting from $104,400), and Audi E-Tron GT (starting from $106,500).

Unveiled at the Amelia Island Concours this weekend, the Gyesera is already available for pre-order at a price of $5,000. This new sedan follows the introduction of the Kaveya electric coupe last year, set to become the brand's flagship car upon its release in the final quarter of 2025.
