Ford unveiled the 810-HP Supercharger Kit for the 2024 Mustang, their newest invention. It was presented in a sneak glimpse at the 2023 SEMA event. With this update, the pony car's power output should increase to around 800 horsepower, providing an exciting driving experience.

The Blue Oval has finally revealed component number M-6066-M8800, which retails for $9,995 on the Ford Performance division's website, following much anticipation. a Whipple-supplied blower, a 3.0-liter supercharger, a 92-millimeter throttle body reminiscent of the S550-gen Shelby GT500, a dual pass intercooler, and a set of cold spark plugs, the kit sets a new standard for performance enthusiasts.

As reported by Motor1.com, Ford Performance has officially added the twin-screw supercharger kit to its website lineup. This exciting development caters to Mustang GT and Dark Horse enthusiasts, offering a substantial power boost for these vehicles.

However, there's a notable restriction: the supercharger is exclusively certified for use in 49 states, with California being the exception. The product listing explicitly states that it lacks approval for use in California and cannot be legally registered or utilized on vehicles within the state, likely due to stringent emissions regulations.

More About: Supercharger Kit

Autoevolution has shared that Ford's Supercharger kit is designed to be compatible with the Dark Horse and GT models, irrespective of whether they are equipped with the standard or active exhaust system, and regardless of whether they have the 10-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission.

Additionally, the supercharger kit incorporates GT500-style port fuel injectors, providing a comprehensive enhancement to the vehicle's performance capabilities. What's more, the package includes an engine control unit calibration and a Tomahawk calibration delivery tool, all encompassed within the $9,995 price tag.

Ford Performance advises the use of 91-plus octane fuel for optimal performance, a fitting choice for a V8 engine geared towards high performance. The only Coyote version with two throttle bodies is the Gen 4 model exclusive to the S650 Mustang. For further peace of mind, enthusiasts can benefit from a three-year/36,000-mile (60,000-kilometer) guarantee when the kit is fitted by a Ford retailer or an ASE-certified technician.

When using Ford Performance's supercharger package, owners of the 2024 Mustang should expect a 10 horsepower difference between the regular and active-valve exhaust setups. Interestingly, Ford Performance advocates for the legality of the supercharger package in 49 states, providing fans with widespread availability. It's important to note, though, that this package is not authorized by regulations to be used in California, which presents a challenge for 2024 Mustang owners who reside in the state.

Car and Driver claims that the Mustang still offers a V-8 in the GT variant and a turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost at the base. Financial reasons may favor the four-cylinder, but our preference is for the V-8-powered GT with the six-speed manual transmission. Even while the GT coupe costs more than $10,000 more than the base four-cylinder, for just an extra $5,000, you can choose to add the GT Performance package. 19-inch wheels, large Brembo brakes, a 3.73-geared Torsen differential, and some eye-catching styling upgrades are all part of this package.
