Similar to its enduring predecessor, the new GranTurismo stands unparalleled in its price range. While many coupes feature a 2+2 seating setup, few can rival the combination of comfort and performance offered by the Maserati. In comparison, other luxury cars are prohibitively expensive, and even though they lack the GranTurismo's spacious backseat and relaxed road-trip ambiance.
GranTurismo Upgrade: Specs, Features
The all-new 2024 GranTurismo seamlessly integrates the finest elements from Maserati's existing product range, resulting in a remarkably refined two-door vehicle that exudes not only a next-generation vibe but a futuristic one. This year marks the triumphant return of the GranTurismo sports car, featuring a detuned iteration of the Nettuno twin-turbo V-6 engine from its predecessor. Additionally, an all-electric variant known as the GranTurismo Folgore is also available.
According to Cars.com's review, the 2024 GranTurismo showcases Maserati's thoughtful refinement of its original, stunning design, infusing elements from the brand's MC20 and contemporary sense of proportion onto the classic profile. The outcome is a sleek, smooth silhouette that epitomizes the grand tourer's style: an elongated hood, a set-back cabin, and understated "rise" points.
The previous generation of the GranTurismo boasted a distinctive cross-plane, 4.7-liter version of the Ferrari-Maserati F136 V-8 engine renowned for its captivating, resonant roar. While undeniably delightful, the engine's aging design rendered it somewhat outdated.
In contrast, the 2024 GranTurismo introduces a new twin-turbo 3.0-liter "Nettuno" V-6, which is essentially a toned-down variant of the MC20's engine, yet it retains the twin-spark, pre-chamber ignition system known for its high compression, enhanced efficiency, and impressive power-density.
Upon its launch, the GT is available in two configurations - the standard Modena and the top-tier Trofeo trims - each exhibiting distinct levels of power as they growl through urban traffic and unleash their gift prowess on the open highways.

How Much It Costs, Interior Other Features
According to Car and Driver, Car & Driver claims that the GranTurismo boasts an exquisite look, a sumptuous interior, and a chassis that is highly adjustable. There is need for improvement in the following areas: the mushy feel of the brake pedal, the notably high starting price, and the absence of a manual transmission option.
This latest GranTurismo is worth $258,000. In conclusion, the reimagined GranTurismo establishes a fresh benchmark for the Maserati brand, successfully embodying its dual purpose of luxury and athleticism.
Additionally, there is an electric variant of the GranTurismo known as the GranTurismo Folgore. Both gasoline and electric models feature all-wheel drive and are equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Regardless of the powertrain, the GranTurismo excels in its ability to seamlessly blend luxury-car comforts with the exhilarating performance and driving pleasure typically associated with sports cars.
When switched to Sport mode, the GranTurismo undergoes a notable metamorphosis, adopting a more aggressive persona akin to a dedicated sports car. This transformation is achieved through adjustments such as firmer suspension settings, increased steering weight, and an intensified exhaust note resonating from the tailpipes.
Activating the launch control function further elevates the driving experience, with Maserati asserting that the 483-hp GranTurismo Modena can reach 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, a mere 0.5 seconds slower than the more potent and lighter MC20 achieved at their test track. Conversely, the 542-hp Trofeo model boasts an even swifter claimed zero-to-60-mph time of 3.5 seconds.
