Mitsubishi will be in spotlight this year. The reason behind is its three separate Outlander SUV models-the Outlander, Outlander Sport, and Outlander PHEV. These latest offering come along with two Mirage models (the Mirage and Mirage G4) and an Eclipse Cross. These vehicles show how dominant Nissan is. This follows after it bought most of Mitsubishi North America in October 2016. Then, a brand-new flagship car that showcases the collaboration of the two automakers was unveiled.
Mitsubishi Now Presents 2024 Outlander PHEV
This PHEV price starts at $46,295. It comes with a combination of efficiency and power. Its power comes from a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine and two electric motors.. It consequently demonstrates its capacity to provide exceptional torque performance, particularly while accelerating to its maximum capability.
As per the review from SlashGear, the term "PHEV" alone probably sent many people searching for information on more mainstream subjects like cost and Apple CarPlay, while technical experts were hoping for an accurate and concise breakdown of the drivetrain's workings.
The electric components consist of the two previously mentioned electric motors and a 20 kWh battery. Mitsubishi claims an approximate EV driving range of 38 miles on a full battery. While the Outlander's gas-powered mode achieves an EPA-estimated 26 miles per gallon.
The review also shared that while the author found the estimate to be somewhat optimistic, it still falls within the realm of plausibility. The review emphasized the significance of individual driving habits in influencing gas mileage, while highlighting Mitsubishi's claim of a total range of approximately 420 miles when both the battery and gas tank are fully charged.

Hybrid Drive Modes
At times, the vehicle operated silently like most other EVs, but there were also instances where the presence of the gasoline motor became noticeable. However, it was evident that the addition of the gasoline component was not intended to create a menacing growl; rather, it served a purely utilitarian purpose.
The PHEV's drivetrain enables it to function as various types of electric or hybrid vehicles by seamlessly transitioning between different drive modes based on driving requirements. These modes include EV Mode, which utilizes only the battery for power by shutting off the gas engine; Series Hybrid Mode, where the electric motors are powered by the battery while being charged by the gasoline engine; and Parallel Hybrid Mode, where both the electric motors and the gas engine collaborate to propel the vehicle forward.
Other Features of 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV
