Honda is now qualified to get the full $7,500 Federal Tax Credit, as is its luxury brand Acura. The newest Honda Prologue all-electric cars in the US are eligible for this tax credit as of March 7. Remarkably, this federal tax credit is available for all 2024 Prologues-including those that are leased-that are acquired after February 26, 2024.

Honda Cars: Prologue, Acura Now Qualifies for Tax Credit

As shared by Green Car Reports, the federal tax credit is applicable to the purchase of all 2024 Prologues constructed after February 26, 2024. Furthermore, all leased Prologues are eligible for this credit. To attract potential EV buyers, the Prologue boasts a 296-mile EPA range rating, and it will soon be available at Honda dealerships. The automaker is committed to offering Prologue customers comprehensive, best-in-class charging solutions both at home and on the road.

The starting price for the Acura ZDX is less than $60,000 after the tax credit. Now, qualified purchasers may get a ZDX for $58,350, with a $1,350 destination charge, making it a compelling offer. Orders for the Acura ZDX are now being accepted by Acura, and delivery should start soon.

General Motors developed the Acura ZDX and Prologue using its Ultium battery and propulsion technology in addition to battery sourcing. GM has adjusted its sourcing practices to meet the more stringent than anticipated sourcing requirements for the EV tax credit, in accordance with the understanding of the Biden administration.

As per CBT News, Honda has shared the power ratings for the 2024 Acura ZDX. Both the ZDX Type S and this all-electric SUV were eagerly awaited. The ZDX A-Spec (RWD) will have a starting MSRP of $57,000 after the credit is applied, making it an alluring choice for prospective purchasers.

Honda Prologue

As per Electrek, Honda states that the entire $7,500 EV tax credit is applicable to the 2024 Prologue. Thanks to this credit, the Prologue's starting price is now less than $40,000, making it a more appealing option for potential buyers.

As reported by Car and Driver, the EPA has estimated that the most fuel-efficient Prologue models are the front-wheel drive versions of the EX and Touring trims, both achieving ratings of up to 107 MPGe city. Future assessments will include taking the Prologue on a 75-mph highway fuel economy route to assess its efficiency and range. For further details on the Prologue's fuel economy, stay tuned for updates.

Honda has implemented design alterations in the cabin, imparting a distinctively Honda-esque appearance. The simplified dashboard forgoes the ornate elements found in the Blazer EV, diverging from Chevy's round vents, vibrant surfaces, and angled infotainment display.

Instead, the Prologue presents a layout reminiscent of other Hondas, featuring an uncluttered design executed in understated hues. While the Chevy's control elements make their way into the Prologue, they not only appear incongruous in the Honda showroom but also prove cumbersome to operate.

Notably, the Prologue's wheelbase surpasses that of the CR-V by 8.0 inches, and the EV model is 5.0 inches wider, resulting in a more spacious cabin with increased cargo capacity.
