The Bentley legacy is not just about the Bentley Boys; it also encompasses the remarkable contributions of the Bentley Girls. While their stories may not be widely known, Bentley has recently unveiled three exceptional Bentaygas, each a tribute to the unique legacy of these women.
Three Bentaygas Tribute to Women: 1920's Bentley Girls
Bentley considers its own history and finds inspiration in the enthralling stories of the 1920s Bentley Girls-Mary Petre Bruce, Dorothy Paget, and Diana Barnato Walker-as the globe celebrates International Women's Day. Almost a century after these remarkable women made a lasting impression on Bentley's history, their legacies are being celebrated today with an amazing bespoke initiative. Every car deftly incorporates details that honor the spirit of the Bentley Girls.
Reported by Autoevolution, two visionary women designers have commissioned three exceptional Bentley Bentayga SUVs. Emma Carruthers and Georgia Gough have selected an S, Azure, and an Extended Wheelbase (EWB) model, offering prospective Bentley customers globally a choice of these distinct variants.
These custom creations serve as a tribute to the enduring legacies of Mary Petre Bruce, Dorothy Paget, and Diana Barnato Walker. These three influential women played pivotal roles in Bentley's history, contributing significantly to the brand's achievements over its 105-year existence. Their remarkable feats set them apart as leaders in their prime.
Karen Lange, a member of the Bentley Board, emphasized that these three Bentaygas stand as a testament to the lives of the Bentley Girls, serving as a poignant reminder of their extraordinary contributions.

CarBuzz showcases how these three vehicles pay homage to The Bentley Girls of 1920's. The report highlights the reminiscent features of each vehicle to these women who carved their mark in Bentley's history.
Bentayga Azure
The Bentayga Azure, inspired by Mary Petre Bruce's Bentley 4½ Litre, pays homage to her record-setting drive in June 1929 when she aimed to establish the world record for single-handed driving. Despite her initial unfamiliarity with Bentley cars, she drove for 24 hours straight, covering an astounding 2,164 miles.
This bespoke vehicle features Parson Green Pearlescent Paint, 24-karat gold organ stops, and Mother of Pearl crossbanded veneer, all reflecting Bruce's determination and iconic style. Additionally, details such as the Blackline specification and the intricate Mother of Pearl marquetry of Bruce's numberplate, YV 7263, further encapsulate the spirit of her historic achievement.
Extended Wheelbase Mulliner (EWB)
Dorothy Paget, known for her involvement with the iconic Blower Bentley, financed a team of Bentley's supercharged racers, demonstrating her profound passion for speed and performance. To honor Paget's legacy, the Extended Wheelbase Mulliner has been adorned in a solid shade named Blower Green, mirroring the interior's Cumbrian green leather, reminiscent of one of the original Bentley racers she
sponsored.
The Bentayga EWB also features painted nickel veneer carriers, self-leveling wheel accent bezels, and engine-spun aluminum decorative inlays on the fascia, encapsulating Paget's lavish and extraordinary lifestyle.
Smoke Green Bentayga S
Diana Barnato, daughter of Bentley racing driver Woolf Barnato, was deeply immersed in racing and aviation. Despite receiving only six hours of instruction, she achieved a solo flight at the Brooklands Flying Club in 1938 and later joined the Air Transport Auxiliary during World War II, delivering over 260 Spitfires and other fighter planes to frontline squadrons.
Her love for the Spitfire aircraft inspired the design of the Smoke Green Bentayga S with a green/saddle interior, featuring a prominent Spitfire emblem on the D pillar.
