Kia's design head, Karim Habib, referred to the hatchback as the K4 five-door during the release, hinting that it might become its official name, especially since its predecessor was named the Forte5.
It is anticipated that the hatchback will replicate the sedan's specifications, albeit with enhanced cargo capacity. The forthcoming sedan measures 185.4 inches in length, a size that exceeds the Forte by nearly three inches.
