In a move almost four years following the introduction of the second iteration of the Captur, Renault has opted to update the model. The 2024 Renault Captur facelift showcases a significant overhaul to its front, aligning the model closely with the brand's current design principles. The interior undergoes minor enhancements, incorporating additional tech features.

Renault Facelift, Top of the Line Tech

As reported by essanews.com, Renault has been taking a more substantial approach to facelifts recently, going beyond superficial changes to make significant modifications to each model, which have generally been well-received. The most recent version of the Captur, which has a more contemporary style than its predecessor, best exemplifies this tendency.

The automaker modified the front end with a stylish radiator grille, streamlined headlights, and unique vertical daytime running lights that were precisely integrated into the bumper. The rear has undergone several minor but noticeable modifications, such as a new light signature and a revised bumper.

The 2024 Renault Captur is the Clio's smaller SUV brother, as noted by CarScoops. This has undergone a mid-cycle refresh, embracing the latest design approach from the automaker and introducing enhanced technology within the interior.

The updated model emphasizes sustainability by eschewing leather and chrome elements, aligning with Renault's environmental commitments. Additionally, a new range-topping Esprit Alpine trim has been introduced. While the powertrain options remain consistent with gasoline, LPG, mild hybrid, and full hybrid variants, diesel versions are notably absent.

Noteworthy changes to the exterior design include a revamped front end reminiscent of models like the Scenic E-Tech and the larger Rafale, reflecting a more sophisticated aesthetic envisioned by the design team led by Gilles Vidal.

Replacing the now-defunct RS Line, the fresh Esprit Alpine trim steps in as the latest flagship variant within the lineup. Its distinctive appearance is characterized by Slate Gray bumper inserts, glossy black accents, and unique 19-inch alloy wheels exclusive to this model.

The interior showcases a sustainable "multi-textured" fabric upholstery in lieu of traditional leather, along with notable Alpine and French flag emblems, stylish blue stitching, a blue-gray dashboard insert, and sleek aluminum pedals to enhance its overall aesthetic appeal.

More from this Upgrade

Hindustan Times said that Renault has integrated the latest-generation driver assistance technologies into the 2024 Captur, featuring enhancements like predictive hybrid driving functionality and Active Driver Assist to enable Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities. Production of the updated Captur is scheduled to commence later this year at Renault's Valladolid facility in Spain, showcasing the brand's commitment to innovation and advanced driving features.

As highlighted by essanews.com, the interior updates of the 2024 Captur are characterized by subtle changes, maintaining a familiar layout while incorporating enhancements in the multimedia system. The new system features a larger 10.4-inch screen and digital displays measuring 10.25 inches, enhancing the overall technological experience within the cabin.

Notably, Renault's commitment to sustainability is evident in the choice to forego traditional leather and chrome accents in favor of eco-friendly recycled materials. The engine options for the updated model mirror those of its predecessor, with the base configuration offering a 90-horsepower 1.0 TCe engine coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission, with the flexibility to operate on LPG in specific markets.
