For the 2025 eSprinter, Mercedes-Benz USA is offering more alternatives, including as an 81-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery option and enhanced technological capabilities. Also available are upgraded standard equipment and cutting-edge safety and assistance features for the basic Sprinter as well as the new eSprinter.

2025 eSprinter Updates

CarBuzz reports that Mercedes-Benz has revealed modifications for the MY2025 Sprinter and Mercedes eSprinter automobiles. Along with a number of other enhancements, these updates provide more standard equipment and greater customisation possibilities. The most noteworthy development is the availability of a lower capacity battery for the eSprinter.

This means that buyers looking for an electric delivery van won't have to select the 170-inch wheelbase, high-roof, and 113 kWh battery option. In the latest iteration for 2025, Mercedes-Benz unveils the eSprinter featuring a versatile 81 kWh battery option, adaptable to various wheelbase and roof height configurations.

Mercedes asserts an impressive 204-mile range on the WLTP cycle for the eSprinter, though EPA ratings may reveal slightly lower figures. Opting for the 113 kWh version amplifies this range to an estimated 297 miles, promising enhanced efficiency and extended journeys. There are two models in the 2025 eSprinter range.

The Standard Output model generates 134 horsepower, and the High Output model, which generates 201 horsepower. At 295 lb-ft, both versions have incredible torque. Though they operate admirably, neither can equal the Ram ProMaster EV's raw power of 268 horsepower and 302 pound-feet of torque.

Mercedes highlights the 81 kWh battery's adaptability by pointing out that it can be charged using both AC and DC techniques. Remarkably, it can replenish from 10-80% in just over 30 minutes, with a maximum charging speed capped at 115 kW, ensuring swift and convenient charging experiences.

One beneficial feature of MBUX is its ability to display the free space behind the vehicle.

By utilizing the rearview camera, drivers can assess whether there's ample space to unload cargo from the back. This feature can be customized based on cargo size, providing convenience for time-pressed delivery drivers. Moreover, business owners can access various vehicle-related data, including maintenance and breakdown management, through the Mercedes me connect app.

The application also makes it easier to control remote features like locking or unlocking the van. With a roomy 10.25-inch display screen, the most recent MBUX interface is now available for both the Sprinter and eSprinter. Mercedes promises improved user interface and processing power, which translates into more responsive navigation and user-friendly controls.

Notably, the voice assistant has undergone significant improvements, requiring less reliance on the "Hey, Mercedes" prompt and demonstrating enhanced responsiveness. Furthermore, the system can accurately identify the source of commands, enabling seamless execution of tasks such as activating specific heated seats based on the seat location.

Additionally, the introduction of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with over-the-air updates, ensures that new features can be seamlessly integrated throughout the van's lifespan.

MotorTrend notes that the 2025 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter maintains its strong presence in the delivery market, emphasizing its suitability as a cargo van. However, unlike the diesel Sprinter, which offers passenger, crew, and chassis-cab configurations, the eSprinter is exclusively available as a cargo van.

Fleet managers will value the eSprinter's financial benefits since fuel and maintenance savings quickly outweigh the vehicle's $10,350 price premium over the diesel Sprinter. However, drivers may find the eSprinter to be underpowered when maneuvering through rapidly moving intercity interstate traffic.

Charging Convenience

Auto Connected Car highlighted that the Mercedes me Charge service, which is part of the Mercedes me connect platform, offers almost 100,000 public charging stations countrywide. The brand wants to reinvent EV charging through the launch of the Mercedes-Benz Charging Network.

The brand presents the cutting-edge Mercedes-Benz Wallbox, the newest member of the vast Mercedes-Benz charging network. With the convenience of their own homes, this gadget provides a smooth and linked option for charging vans.

Mercedes-Benz USA collaborates with ChargePoint to provide commercial fleet customers with convenient access to Fleet Depot Charging solutions. This partnership offers specialized charging hardware, vehicle telematics, and software solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of individual fleets.
