Ford spokesperson Emma Berg informed Electrek that the temporary suspension, initiated on February 9th, aimed to facilitate thorough quality checks before resuming shipments.
This meticulous approach underscores Ford's commitment to delivering excellence in every vehicle. About 2024 F-150 Lighting
According to Consumer Reports, The Lightning is Ford's first fully electric pickup. Considering the 131 kilowatt-hour battery pack, the highest DC fast-charging acceptance rate is 150 kilowatts, which is extremely slow. The strong vehicle accelerates with ease and in a whisper. Although handling is still clumsy, the Lightning has a more pleasant ride than the standard F-150 thanks to its independent rear suspension.
According to Car and Driver, the F-150 Lightning will receive minor upgrades rather than a full redesign for the 2024 model year. The Platinum Black special edition is a standout addition. It has a sleek matte-black wrap that contrasts with dark 22-inch wheels, a gloomy grille, and muted badging to create a very Batman-esque appearance.
Priced at $93,290, only 2000 units are slated for production. Joining the lineup is the new Flash trim, offering a compelling package with top-tier technology including the expansive 15.5-inch infotainment screen, the largest battery pack available, and Ford's advanced Blue Cruise hands-free driving mode, all at a relatively accessible price point. Across the board, keyless entry is now standard, along with an updated BlueCruise 1.2 hands-free driver assistance system.
Additionally, the ProPower onboard generator now activates upon unlocking the truck, eliminating the need for full power activation. These enhancements are also being extended to 2022 and 2023 F-150 Lightnings through convenient over-the-air software updates.
