Jeep's CEO Antonio Filosa has affirmed the upcoming arrival of a plug-in hybrid Gladiator 4xe next year. The refreshed 2025 model year Gladiator will introduce a new 4xe plug-in hybrid trim option. The Gladiator 4xe is expected to utilize the identical powertrain found in the Wrangler 4xe, combining a turbo inline-four engine with an electric motor to deliver 375 horsepower.

As detailed by Motor Trend, Jeep's CEO Antonio Filosa made a surprising revelation about the upcoming 2025 Jeep Gladiator 4xe on the unconventional platform of LinkedIn. In his post, Filosa praised the renowned Jeep open-air experience as a symbol of "freedom."

Furthermore, he officially announced the highly anticipated arrival of the hybrid Gladiator 4xe model, emphasizing an expansion of choices for customers in the near future. Moreover, Filosa simply confirmed the existence of the 2025 Jeep Gladiator 4xe without divulging specific details. No images of the 2025 model have been released by Jeep.

Thus, Motor Trend assumes that minimal visual changes in the upcoming Gladiator 4xe model. However, it's anticipated to feature familiar elements like blue tow hooks, distinctive badging, and optional graphics seen on other 4xe variants such as the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee.

As per information from Car and Driver, additional information regarding the Gladiator 4xe is expected to be revealed later in the year. the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, maintaining its classic, rugged appearance while incorporating advanced hybrid technology, becoming a leading choice among plug-in hybrids in the United States.

Building on this success, Jeep has revealed plans to introduce a Gladiator 4xe model starting next year, further expanding its hybrid lineup. According to CarScoops, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe is the top-selling plug-in hybrid in the United States, and this powertrain will soon make its way to the Gladiator lineup.

While details were not disclosed, it is sure that the model will take after the Wrangler 4xe. This points towards an upcoming plug-in hybrid system comprising a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, a 17.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and an electric motor.

It is expected that the future Gladiator 4xe will have a similar pricing structure and would cost a substantial amount more. More information is expected to emerge in the upcoming months, but based on the Wrangler lineup, where the Sport S 4xe starts at $50,695-more than $10,000 more than the Wrangler Sport S with four doors-it's possible that the Gladiator 4xe will cost roughly $52,000.

Additionally, CarScoops reports that the Wrangler 4xe qualifies for a $3,750 federal tax credit, indicating the potential eligibility of the Gladiator 4xe for this incentive as well, though confirmation will only emerge in due course.

The introduction of the plug-in hybrid powertrain is set to address the absence left by the EcoDiesel in the Gladiator's engine options. Following the discontinuation of the mill last year, the mid-size truck has solely been available with a 3.6-liter V6 engine delivering 285 hp (213 kW / 289 PS) and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm) of torque.
