Lancia Introduces All-New 2025 Ypsilon HF, Redefining Driving Legacy with 237-Horse Electric Powertain

It generates 237 horsepower from a front-mounted motor, placing it on par with the Abarth 600e and Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce. A 54-kWh battery pack that is shared across Alfa Romeo and Abarth cars powers the electric motor. Lancia's 0 to 62 mph acceleration time of 5.8 seconds is impressive for a mainstream brand's small front-wheel-drive hatchback.
For improved handling, the Ypsilon HF has a wider track and lowered suspension in addition to an updated electric motor. Lancia has announced that all upcoming models will receive the High-Fidelity treatment, with plans to reintroduce the Gamma and Delta later in this decade.
CarScoops provided details on sporty Ypsilon's return, the HF emblem featuring a red elephant is positioned on a new front bumper that includes larger and more angular air intakes. The vehicle's side profile highlights broad fender extensions that emphasize the model-specific alloy wheels sporting a six-spoke design.

It achieves a 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in 5.8 seconds, a notable improvement over the standard EV and mild-hybrid versions. The upgraded powertrain is accompanied by a lowered suspension and wider tracks, designed to enhance its road-holding performance.
Autoevolution provided insights into the pricing details of the Ypsilon HF. The Ypsilon Elettrica boasts a range of up to 403 kilometers (250 miles) in the combined test cycle.
In city driving conditions, Lancia assures a range of over 500 kilometers from a fully charged high-capacity battery. The Ypsilon HF's sibling, the Ypsilon Ibrida, delivers a commendable 156 ps/154 hp.
In the Italian market, the starting price for the Ypsilon Ibrida is 24,900 euros, while the range-topping Ypsilon Elettrica Cassina is priced at 39,500 euros. Based on the current exchange rates, these amounts translate to approximately $27,045 and $49,895 in US dollars.
Availability in America
CarBuzz shared that unfortunately, this pertains solely to Europe, as it appears Stellantis has no plans to introduce Lancia to the American market. Furthermore, in conjunction with the unveiling of the Ypsilon HF, Lancia showcased images of a vehicle adorned in a rally livery reminiscent of Martini racing style.
This car featured distinctive elements such as a roof scoop, hood vents, white rally wheels, and bucket seats. Regrettably, these enhancements are not available on the production model, as they belong to a separate vehicle known as the Ypsilon Rally 4 HF. This car serves as a clear declaration of Lancia's return to the world of rallying.
