BMW car owners and enthusiasts have something new to look out for. BMW and Pirelle worked on a new project intended for BMW vehicles - the 7 series.

BMW Works for Enhanced Tire Performance

BMW and Pirelli worked to develop tires technology. Performance and safety are big concerns when driving during winter season. BMW and Pirelli took note of this concern among drivers. The two companies bring P Zero Winter 2 tires as solution.

As noted by CarScoops, car manufacturers often emphasize the physical, aesthetics, and power when developing new cars. Moreover, the report mentioned that while these alliances missed in improving winter tire technology.

But the two bridged this gap in car manufacturing efforts. 7-Series and i7 models will use the P Zero Winter 2 tires. But it does not stop there. It also compatible for the X3. But it will not happen until later this year.

How Does It Work

The tire's thread design is specifically engineered to enhance winter driving capabilities. Therefore, bringing outstanding performance in damp and winter situations.

Furthermore the companies join the growing list of manufacturers going green. They showcased effort in decreasing carbon dioxide emission from their facilities. Reportedly, they promoted sustainability in this project focusing on renewable materials usage.

BMW's Approach, Availability

The collaboration between BMW and Pirelli targets to challenge the winter tire innovation. This development is particularly done for improving electric vehicles. Extending the range is crucial but without sacrificing safety and performance for BMW electric vehicles.

Auto123 disclosed that, as per BMW, the P Zero Winter 2 tire may potentially increase the range of the all-electric 7 Series luxury sedan. The increased range can go by 50 kilometers. The up and coming P Zero Winter 2 tire will be available starting from August.

Car and Driver review shared key upgrades to the 2025 BMW 7-series. As stated on its website, such updates center on enhancements in infotainment and automation features.

The most recent iDrive operating system is designed to streamline the use of Apple's Siri voice assistant. This is done by eliminating the necessity to press a push-to-talk button.

The enhanced interior of the 7-series now boasts technology, elegance, and luxury to compete more effectively with the Mercedes-Benz S-class. Ample passenger room is available in both the front and rear, with the standout features being the Luxury Rear Seating package.

This package includes power-adjustable reclining rear seats with massage function, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and neck cushions on the headrests for added comfort.

Luxurious leather, stainless steel details, and elegant glass and wood accents contribute to the sophisticated ambiance of the 7-series' interior.

Additionally, the optional Highway Assistant feature now offers hands-free driving capabilities, including suggesting lane changes and enabling drivers to confirm the maneuver by observing the corresponding side view mirror.

When talking about pricing for the 2025 BMW 7-series the estimate is around $98,000. The amount can go higher with variations up to $123,000 based on the chosen trim level and additional options.
