Nissan has rolled out an enticing offer for Bolt EV drivers, aiming to attract them towards the LEAF. This initiative, known as the "LEAF Conquest" program, presents a compelling incentive for current Bolt EV or Bolt EUV owners and lessees. By providing a $1,000 credit towards the acquisition or lease of a LEAF, Nissan seeks to sway these drivers towards a more sustainable choice.

Nissan LEAF Conquest Program: $ 1,000 for Bolt EV Owners

At $28,140, the 2024 Nissan LEAF is one of the most affordable electric cars in the US market. This affordability is further highlighted by a recent Nissan dealer bulletin that introduces a brand-new rebate scheme. Exclusive to customers who opt for financing under Nissan's promotional rates or choose to lease through NMAC, this rebate adds another layer of value to the LEAF ownership experience.

According to insights from Electrek, following the reinstatement of a portion of the federal EV tax credit earlier this year, the Nissan LEAF now presents a compelling purchase opportunity starting at a mere $24,390.

With General Motors ceasing production of the Chevy Bolt EV by the close of 2023, Nissan has introduced a strategic move to entice these drivers through the "LEAF Conquest" promotion.

Valid until July 8, Nissan is extending a $1,000 incentive to current Chevy Bolt EV or EUV owners as well as lessees looking to transition to a LEAF. This attractive offer can be availed when opting for financing under Nissan's promotional rates or selecting a lease agreement through NMAC.

The latest update on this incentive was also covered by InsideEVs. It shared information from CarsDirect, from May 3rd to July 8th, Chevy Bolt owners and lessees have the opportunity to benefit from a $1,000 rebate for acquiring or leasing a new Leaf through Nissan Motor Acceptance Company (NMAC). Notably, participants are not obligated to trade in their Chevy Bolt as part of this advantageous offer.

As highlighted by InsideEVs, the ongoing national offers for the 40 kWh Leaf include a leasing offer of $259 per month for 36 months with a $2,250 initial payment. For those seeking additional savings, potential further reductions in monthly payments can be secured in regions offering local or state rebates, subject to specific residency and income criteria.

In Colorado specifically, residents can leverage state rebates directly towards their lease, resulting in an attractive lease rate of $109 per month for 36 months with a $2,389 down payment. To enhance this already enticing offer, dealers like Boulder Nissan are enhancing the deal for Colorado customers by presenting a reduced rate of $99 per month with minimal to no upfront costs.

Chevy Bolt EV

GM's decision to halt Bolt production in December of last year has led the company to focus on introducing its popular EV by 2025. This strategic move aims to address the market's need for lower-cost EV options.

As reported by GM Authority, CEO Mary Barra mentioned during an interview in the early summer of 2023 that "Bolt is something that has built up a lot of loyalty and equity." She further noted that she refrained from discussing future projects, hinting at a potential comeback for the Chevy Bolt.

Electrek shared an interview by Automotive News stating that Marissa West, who assumed the role of GM's North American president in January, expressed considerable enthusiasm about reintroducing the Bolt to the market. West conveyed that the company is genuinely excited about this prospect.

She shared insights indicating that the forthcoming Ultium-based Chevy Bolt is anticipated to become the most cost-effective electric vehicle in the United States upon its launch next year.
