Fiat presents the Grande Panda with optional electric features, as its newest product. This fresh model showcases a blend of retro-inspired and funky styling elements. Positioned as an addition to the Fiat family, the Grande Panda complements rather than replaces the current Panda lineup, catering to diverse preferences in the market.
Here Comes: Fiat Grande Panda
Fiat is adding a more fun and funkier car into its lineup, the Fiat Grande Panda. It will be available in all-electric and hybrid options. The twist is that, Fiat does not intend to sell Grande Panda in the United States.
According to Jalopnik's report, the Grande Panda marks the fourth generation of Pandas since its inception in 1980, with the original model remaining in production until 2003. While lacking all-wheel-drive capabilities seen in past iterations, a compact Panda SUV will cater to that niche.
The Grande Panda inherits the adventurous spirit of the original Panda 4x4 and is based on Stellantis' Smart Car platform. Despite being shorter than typical B-segment cars at 157 inches, it surpasses the prior Panda in length by a foot and slightly outstrips a modern three-door Mini by a couple of inches.
As per CarBuzz, Fiat has unveiled exclusive images of its latest creation, the Grande Panda, set to disrupt the subcompact market with its distinctive design and electrified powertrain options. While specific information remains scarce, Fiat hints at hybrid and electric versions for this unique crossover.
Drawing parallels to the Fiat 600e, expectations are high that the 'Big Panda' as CarBuzz calls it, will inherit similar drivetrains, including a potent 154-horsepower electric model and a fuel-efficient 1.2-liter hybrid variant boasting 99 hp.
Fun Funky Design
Fiat latest entry to the car market presents a fun and funky design. Joining the brand's lineup Fiat Grande Panda is set to makes head turn. CarScoops provided insights into the phased release of the Grande Panda, initially targeting Europe, the Middle East, and Africa before expanding to other regions.

Getting inspiration from the Fiat Concept City Car, the Grande Panda showcases a blend of retro and futuristic elements. Notable features include pixelated X-pattern LED lights, 17-inch wheels with a unique design, boxy fenders, plastic cladding, roof rails, and ample ground clearance, reminiscent of the classic Panda 4×4.
The exterior is adorned with 'Panda' branding on the bodywork and 'Fiat' lettering on the tailgate. While interior details remain undisclosed, Fiat hints at a spacious cabin for up to five occupants, catering to families and urban commuters worldwide.
Expectations point towards an interior design featuring oval shapes, paying homage to the Lingotto factory's iconic rooftop track in Turin. With a strong emphasis on practicality and a minimalist approach, the Grande Panda aims to uphold the simplicity and functionality that defined its predecessors.
Enthusiasts of Fiat in the United States will find solace in the 500e model as the Grande Panda won't be available stateside. Contrary to its moniker, the Grande Panda boasts a compact size, spanning a mere 157 inches in length. Fiat assures that despite its dimensions, the interior is thoughtfully designed to comfortably accommodate up to five passengers.
