Tribute to MC12 Hypercar: MC20 Icona, Leggenda

Two decades have passed since the MC12 marked Maserati re-entering the race, the brand relives this milestone by launching a special series of MC20 hypercars. These exclusive models showcase iconic racing liveries influenced by Maserati's motorsport heritage and incorporate enhancements from the brand's bespoke 'Fuoriserie' customization program.

Therefore it adds a touch of individuality to the celebratory editions. Autoevolution showcased the MC12 GT1's remarkable history of winning the FIA GT Championship on several occasions. Maserati unveils the 20-unit-limited Icona and Leggenda special series MC20 cars as a tribute to this achievement.

Inspired by the historic MC12 Stradale and MC12 GT1 Vitaphone, these models pay tribute to their renowned forebears with exceptional features and distinctive liveries.

MC20 Icona

The MC20 Icona showcases a unique livery inspired by the MC12 Stradale, which pays homage to the Maserati Trofeo Light and the Birdcage Type 61. This intricate design concept layers historical references, akin to visual inception, where colors intertwine to create a symbolic narrative.

The car's exterior features Bianco Audace Matte and Blu Stradale hues, highlighting elements from the Fuoriserie Personalization Program. The distinct touches include the Fuoriserie logo in Bianco Audace, the Italian flag detail, chrome wheels, silver hubcaps, blue calipers, and a carbon fiber engine cover, all contributing to the Icona's exclusive and visually captivating presentation.

Maserati MC20 Leggenda

AutoExpress reported that the Maserati MC20 Leggenda adopts a distinctive 'Nero Essenza and Digital Mint Matte' color combination reminiscent of the MC12 GT1's racing aesthetics. Enhancing its visual impact, the Leggenda features a yellow Maserati emblem, unique trident wheels, and black brake calipers for a bold and sporty appearance.

Additionally, both the Icona and Leggenda models come equipped with racing-inspired lightweight seats, an upgraded Sonus stereo system, carbon fiber accents, bespoke floor mats, an electronic limited-slip differential, and a suspension lifter to navigate speed bumps and parking lots effortlessly.

Performance, Speed

As discussed by Motor1.com, it was revealed that beneath the surface, the special edition models retain the standard MC20 mechanical setup, which is highly acclaimed. Powered by the impressive Nettuno V-6 engine producing 621 horsepower, coupled with its lightweight build of just 3,300 pounds, the MC20 achieves a remarkable 0-60 mph acceleration in a mere 2.9 seconds.

Therefore they showcase exceptional performance capabilities.
