The hypercar caught fire shortly after it left the hotel at around ten in the morning local time, forcing the driver and passenger to flee while they watched the vehicle burn to the ground. Firefighters were only able to extinguish the flames that had consumed the entire automobile as the fire advanced swiftly, leaving them with little to save.

The extreme heatwave that swept across Europe the week prior, with highs of 98 degrees Fahrenheit (37 degrees Celsius) in Greece, is suspected. To determine the cause, though, studies are still ongoing.Koenigsegg has sent an engineer to return the vehicle to their facility in Angelholm, Sweden, in order to retrieve the scorched remnants.

As shared by CarBuzz, according to the Egg Registry, a source that acquired a copy of the order from a Jesko owner, Koenigsegg is currently unaware of the root cause behind the fire.

An email sent to Jesko clients has urged all owners and drivers to refrain from using their cars until further clarity is achieved regarding the situation. Koenigsegg has mentioned its commitment to informing owners promptly as more details become available.

As per the report by CarBuzz, the scorched Jesko is set to be conveyed to Koenigsegg's facility in Ängelholm, Sweden, where efforts will be made to ascertain the root cause of the incident and initiate any required rectifications.

While the fate of the burnt Jesko's reconstruction lingers uncertain, Jesko owners are advised to store their vehicles securely in the garage. The primary challenge lies in uncovering the cause amid the severely charred remains of the vehicle.
