Bugatti uncovers Tourbillon as the curtain closes on the last production of Chiron. Bringing the brand's reputation of supreme power, performance, and style, Bugatti Tourbillon comes with V16 Hybrid technology. It is a fitting successor to the vacant spot left by Chiron.

Bugatti Tourbillon Hypercar Boasts Power

When one car reaches the end of the production line, one starts its journey. Thus, Bugatti unleashes its latest model - the Tourbillon. Those who could afford but failed to get hold of the Chiron still had the chance to own a hypercar from Bugatti.

This time, the manufacturer added Tourbillon to its lineup. This Chiron's successor has its own unique features and specifications expected from a Bugatti. Affluent and celebrities were the first to see this latest iteration in a launching event in Malsheim, France.

The Bugatti Tourbillon is the brand's first-ever electric hypercar. ABC News highlighted the significant shift in Bugatti's latest Tourbillon model. Departing from traditional setups, the new hybrid powertrain features a naturally aspirated V16 engine and three electric motors.

Thus marking a departure from the powerful W16 engines with four turbochargers seen in earlier Bugatti iterations. The Tourbillon impressively boosts power output to 1,800 horsepower, a notable increase from the Chiron's 1,500 horsepower, which was the last model to sport the W16 engine configuration.

These specifications prove Bugatti Tourbillon Hypercar's supremacy in terms of power. This hand-assembled hypercar will join the ranks of other Bugatti vehicles being built at its factory in Molshiem, France.

Design, Availability in Market

Motor1.com delved deeper into this hypercar with V16 hybrid technology. The report drew comparison and concluded it's not just another Chiron. Though, the resemblance is very obvious. While the unveiling of the car is happening now, the official era for the Tourbillon will commence in 2026 with the delivery of the initial batch of 250 production vehicles.

Priced at 3.6 million Euros or equivalent to approximately $3.9 million based on current exchange rates, the Tourbillon signifies a new chapter in luxury hypercars. Delving into its exterior design, the Tourbillon showcases a unique diffuser that initiates its presence right behind the passenger cabin, offering a subtle yet impactful aesthetic.

Strategically placed vents beneath the headlights aid in directing airflow toward the sizable side intakes. Notably, the horseshoe grille not only supplies air to the radiators but also contributes to enhancing downforce dynamics.

Adding to its aerodynamic prowess, the active rear wing is capable of deploying upwards to function as an effective airbrake. Supporting these features is an innovative multi-link suspension system that boasts a remarkable 45 percent reduction in weight compared to the Chiron's framework, ensuring a blend of performance and agility.

Acknowledging the Tourbillon's roots in automotive excellence, Forbes highlighted its deep connection to Bugatti's illustrious 115-year legacy. Inspired by founder Ettore Bugatti's relentless pursuit of perfection, the hypercar embodies his ethos of uniqueness and uncompromising beauty.

Drawing inspiration from iconic Bugatti models such as the Type 57SC Atlantic, Type 35, and Type 41 Royale, the Tourbillon seamlessly intertwines heritage, performance, and opulence, setting a new standard in the realm of luxury automobiles.
