X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo
Genesis excites many during the 2024 Busan Auto Show as it presents X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo. This latest concept debuted and gave much heartbreak, particularly for those who wish to purchase it once production begins.
Yes! It is not up for sale. According to a report by the Motor Authority, reimagining the hypercar concept specifically for racetrack performance, this iteration boasts enhanced power, reduced weight, and aerodynamic enhancements for heightened downforce.
Sporting a hybrid powertrain delivering an impressive 1,540 hp, this concept represents a significant evolution from its original debut in the Vision Gran Turismo series introduced by Kazunori Yamauchi.
The challenge initially tasked design teams worldwide with crafting the ultimate grand tourer, culminating in this innovative adaptation for circuit excellence.
As detailed in the report, similar to its predecessor, the X Gran Racer utilizes a hybrid powertrain configuration comprising a V-6 engine positioned in a front-midship layout alongside a singular electric motor. Noteworthy enhancements include an electric compressor within the V-6 engine, elevating power output to 870 hp, while the electric motor contributes an additional 670 hp, resulting in a formidable total of 1,540 hp.
Contrasting with the initial concept's more modest 1,071 hp peak output, this iteration showcases significant power upgrades for enhanced performance capabilities.

Aesthetics and More X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo: Genesis Supercar
It would be impossible to miss this Genesis supercar wherever one might see it. The X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo wears a handsome orange color. This paint job reflects the Genesis Magma lineup.
Motor1 reported that X Gran Racer showcases a more assertive aesthetic, characterized by an imposing aerodynamic kit featuring a prominent carbon fiber rear wing. Distinguishing features such as fender vents, a rear central fin, and a singular mono wiper across the windshield differentiate it from its street-focused counterpart.
Interior modifications align with the race car motif, transitioning the cabin into a single-seater layout complete with a carbon fiber bucket seat, an integrated roll cage, and a racing yoke.
Enhanced functionality is evident through the addition of extra knobs and buttons to facilitate adjustments to settings like the traction control system's intervention levels, underscoring the vehicle's performance-oriented design.
As described by MotorTrend, similar to the X Gran Berlinetta, the X Gran Racer VGT features a distinctive illuminated grille and incorporates the signature dual-line design synonymous with Genesis vehicles.
This design motif is elegantly showcased along the car's sides, positioned just behind the front wheels to accentuate the pronounced concave shapes evident in its profile. The sculpted sheet metal, reminiscent of the Ford GT but with a heightened allure, captures attention and adds a unique visual appeal to the overall aesthetic.
