The GV60 Magma EV will be at Goodwood and will showcase what it has with other car concepts. European sales will not start until the last part of 2025. American buyers might need to wait longer for the GV60 Magma EV's arrival in the U.S. As reported by MotorAuthority, the upcoming Genesis GV60 Magma, set to debut sooner than expected, marks a significant milestone for the luxury automaker.

Recently confirmed for production in 2025, this high-performance version of Genesis's premier EV heralds the dawn of a fresh era with the introduction of the Magma performance subdivision. Genesis plans to showcase the GV60 Magma concept at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, ahead of commencing production in the third quarter of 2025, with initial sales slated for South Korea.

Following this, European markets can anticipate the GV60 Magma's arrival in the fourth quarter of 2025. While details on the U.S. release remain undisclosed, the GV60 Magma and its Magma sub-brand made a splash at the 2024 New York auto show earlier in March, hinting at a probable future presence in the American market.

This model represents just the beginning of Genesis's ambitious plan to incorporate Magma variants across its entire vehicle lineup, setting the stage for a dynamic range of exciting offerings soon.

What More to Expect from GV60 Magma EV

With its dashing color comes more from GV60. Though specifics are still unavailable, everyone can expect something worthy of this EV's name - Magma. As shared by CarScoops, Genesis's new Magma EV, is a fusion of innovation and performance built upon the GV60 platform and potentially incorporating the dynamic Ioniq 5 N powertrain.

The recent revelation of the GV60 Magma has set the stage for an exciting showdown at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where Genesis aims to showcase its formidable contender against the likes of BMW's M series and Hyundai's N lineup.

While the Magma brand made a striking debut earlier this year, Genesis plans to captivate audiences at Goodwood with live demonstrations of its Magma concept vehicles in action, including the GV60 Magma Concept, G80 EV Magma Concept, GV80 Coupe Concept, and the adrenaline-pumping G70 Track Taxi Nordschleife.

As these cutting-edge models make their mark on the historic grounds of Goodwood House in England, Genesis remains tight-lipped regarding specific technical specifications of the GV60 Magma, hinting only at advancements in battery technology, motor performance enhancements, and bespoke suspension tuning aimed at elevating the driving experience to new heights.

As reported by Yonhap News English, Hyundai has refrained from disclosing specific timelines for the release of additional Magma models. The renowned manufacturer of Sonata sedans and Santa Fe SUVs is gearing up to introduce the GV60 Magma in various international markets after its debut in Europe.

While insights from Green Car Reports suggested that Magma vehicles will feature sport-tuned suspensions and a lower ride height, any confirmed enhancements in performance are yet to be officially announced.

Notably, the GV60 Magma concept showcases advancements in its cooling systems, hinting at potential improvements in power output. Speculations point towards a performance level akin to the rapid Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, given their shared E-GMP platform, setting the stage for an exciting evolution in Hyundai's electric vehicle lineup.
