Tata Motors has launched its newest Curvv EV and teased its upcoming ICE variant.

The sleek Tata Curvv EV was first showcased in the Indian market and is poised to launch with a starting price of INR 17.49 lakh to INR 21.99 lakh (US$20,831 to US$26,190), as per ET Auto. The model comes in two variants: the Curvv EV 45 and the Curvv EV 55.

The Curvv EV 45 features a 40.5 kWh (kilowatt-hour) battery pack for the base and mid-tier variants. The battery has an MIDC (Modified Indian Test Cycle) rated range of 502 km.

Meanwhile, the Curvv EV 55 features a 55 kWh battery pack for mid and high-end models. The battery has a rated range of 585 km.

Tata's new EV comes with a sloped roofline for a sophisticated look. The unit is powered by an electric motor that drives the front wheels and comes with a 70-kilowatt charger, which can fuel a 150-kilometer range in just 15 minutes. A full charge can also be achieved in under 40 minutes.

The Curvv EV's interior is white and gray. The vehicle comes equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen system, a climate control panel, a steering wheel with paddle shifters and a rotary drive selector.

The vehicle also has ventilated seats, a sunroof and a JBL sound system. For safety, the unit features a driver-assistance program, blind-spot surveillance, an alert system and six airbags.

Tata Motors has also teased details about the ICE variant of the new EV, which will be unveiled in September.

In contrast to the Tata Curvv, the ICE Curvv will have three engine options, including a 1.2-liter Turbo GDI engine, a 1.2-liter turbo petrol and a 1.5-liter diesel.

The ICE Curvv will also launch with a sealed grille, nose-mounted charging port and various alloy wheel outlines.
