The Changan Nevo E07, introduced in July with a starting price of 300,000 yuan ($41,000), is now getting an EREV (Extended Range EV) version.
CarNewsChina reported Monday the EREV version's external appearance will be similar to the original EV model, but a traditional air vent design would strike a difference. In front, the Nevo E07 will flaunt a distinctive SUV look.
The sides include door handles, which will be complemented by the black cladding on the wheel arches and its bottom displays roof rack rails. The tailgate can fold like a classic pickup, and its storage capacity is 300 kg.
The vehicle incorporates a front double wishbone suspension and an H-arm all-aluminum alloy suspension, alongside CDC shock absorbers with air springs.

The variant will come with a JK469ZQ1 1.5T engine that utilizes 110KW of power. The extended-range EV is implemented with a 39.05 kWh (kilowatt-hour) battery pack, capable of fueling an all-electric range of 200km.
Contrarily, the dual-motor will include a range of 180km. The EV version utilizes ternary lithium batteries, while the EREV will transition to lithium iron phosphate options.
The EREV version's wheels will be supplied by an ATDM02 231KW electric motor, which is mounted on the rear axle for its single motor. Meanwhile, the dual motor includes a 131 kW AYD M01 electric motor on the front.
The EREV can achieve a top speed of 190 km/h. The choice of 20 or 21-inch wheels will be offered to customers.
As for its interior, the EREV version includes dual zero-gravity seats like its EV counterpart. To make up for its excluded instrument panel, the EREV incorporates a head-up display and a 15.4-inch infotainment screen.
The interior showcases functional mounted seats for both passengers and drivers. For added specs, the EREV boasts several millimeter-wave and ultrasonic radars.
The launching of the original EV is expected to happen in October. However, the EREV may be released months later. Regarding its costs, the Changan Nevo E07 EREV will start at 270,000 yuan ($37,600).
