Ford’s New Everest Tremor SUV Targets Off-Road Enthusiasts in Australia

Off-road enthusiasts are in for a treat because of Ford's newest Everest Tremor SUV.
Car and Driver reported Thursday that the Ford Everest Tremor SUV would highly prioritize and boast off-road features, contrasting the Jeep Wrangler with its mid-size appearance.
The Everest Tremor has a black grille, LED lights, a thick front bumper, an upgraded skid plate with tow hooks and side steps. Since the Everest Tremor has a bulk build, allowing it to carry up to 7,716 pounds when towing.
Ford decided to keep its engine, so the unit comes with the standard 3.0-liter V-6 turbo-diesel engine. This allows Tremor to produce 247 horsepower. The engine is paired with a four-wheel-drive system and a 10-speed automatic gearbox with a torque of 443 pound-feet.

As for the suspension, the Tremor contains brand-new springs and Bilstein dampers. It comes equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, which are wrapped by General Grabber AT3 tires. The vehicle doesn't just stand out for its outward appearance, but also for its interior.
In the cabin, drivers and passengers will enjoy leather seats with Tremor logos and floor mats. The vehicle also includes an eight-way power driver's seat, climate control and cruise control. The Everest Tremor also has Rock Crawl drive mode and a Rough Terrain package.
Production of the Everest Tremor SUV will reportedly begin this fall in Australia and the starting price is expected to be around $51,400.

Meanwhile, Ford recently initiated a recall of 4,595 2024 Mustangs due to loose rear suspension knuckles. According to records of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), lateral stiffness and rear tire problems can occur when accelerating or braking due to the issue
The flaws can also result in the weakening of foundations and unwanted cracks. Impairments in toe shifts and steering could also lead to risks of crashing. The company also indicated that an "improperly fitted debris filter" might have caused the defect.
