Hyundai has officially given the new off-road trim to one of its bestselling vehicles.
Car and Driver reported Tuesday that Hyundai is giving the Ioniq 5 an XRT trim, which is designed to give the vehicle an improved off-road performance. Starting with the exterior changes, the revised Ioniq 5 flexes a wider and more confident chrome grade.
Three new paint choices are available, including Atlas White, Ecotronic Gray and Celadon Gray Mattes. The unit would also have black 18-inch wheels with 235/60R all-terrain tires. The XRT trim would only be available in dual-motor all-wheel-drive form.

The automaker has improved the Ioniq 5's batteries, as the Standard Range is capable of going from 58.0 to 63.0 kWh (kilowatt-hour), while the Long Range can go up to 77.4 to 84.0 kWh.
Hyundai is also anticipating longer-range results with the new upgrades, stating that AWD models should be going from 260 to 280 miles. However, the RWD (rear-wheel-drive) Long Range models are expected to go from 303 to 310 miles, and the SE Standard Range is capable of 220 to 240 miles.
Inside, the interior is implemented with brand new HVAC controls and screens. The XRT trim has upgraded the car's original 12.0-inch displays to two 12.3-inch screens that come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Ioniq 5's XRT trim would have a redesigned steering wheel, ventilated seats, XRT-badged floor mats and logos on the back row seats. It would also be exclusively offered in two colors, the Ultimate Red and Cosmic Blue Pearl.
The new Ioniq 5 flexes a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, which would allow the vehicle to be plugged in to the Tesla Supercharger network without the need for an adapter.
Additionally, the vehicle's adaptive cruise control system has been improved, alongside its remote smart parking, blind spot-warning and lane-following assist systems.
