Ram recalled over a million 1500 pickup trucks because of anti-lock braking system problems.
MotorTrend reported Monday that Stellantis truck brand Ram has issued a recall of 1.3 million 1500 pickups due to issues in the braking system. In the case of a failing brake, the component would be disabled alongside the vehicle's Electronic Stability Control (ESC), per the recall.
The flaw is software-related and Ram is currently working on repairs. It was also discovered by the Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance so in February, the brake system issue caught the attention of Stellantis.
The issue could also reportedly lead to the ESC system disabling in 2019 to 2024 Ram 1500 pickup units.
