Ford plans to restart a manufacturing plant in India after three years since it ended its operations in the country.

As per Financial Times, Ford submitted a letter to the government of Tamil Nadu to reboot a factory in Chennai City for export purposes.

The update was made after India's government sought to attract billion-dollar investments from international carmakers, while also broadening supply chains from China. Ford has operated in India for nearly three decades. However, it closed down production in 2021.
