Tesla chargers are now available for owners of GM-branded vehicles.
CCS charging ports have been replaced by Tesla's NACS (North American Charging Standard). Automakers have joined in on this transition, and now, owners of General Motors vehicles can also enjoy the benefits of the Tesla device, according to Electrek on Wednesday.
General Motors was one of the auto companies that first announced the change-up in June 2023. The automaker also shared that battery-electric vehicles in the future would implement the port and that BEVs at that time would be able to use the network through an adapter.

Aside from General Motors, Tesla adapters have been applied to other car brands such as Ford, Hyundai, BMW and Lucid Motors.
General Motors shared that the NACS adapter would be available for $225. It can also be purchased on the company's brand app and is offered to those who have access to Tesla's Supercharger network.
Wade Sheffer, GM Energy vice president, noted that the company's efforts to expand public charging infrastructure are vital for its all-electric transition in the future.
