The Model Y might become the best-selling vehicle of 2024 in the United States.

The Tesla vehicle could surpass Toyota's Rav4 based on latest stats. It's also worth noting that the unit was dubbed "Car of the Year" by Electrek despite being released in 2020.  

However, the car's improvement from 2020 to 2023 wasn't the only factor to consider for the praiseworthy title, since the vehicle was also complimented for its impact and sales around the globe. The outlet cited information from Experian, which was gathered by WolfStreet, to show the Model Y's impact.

According to the figures, the Model Y is hot on the Rav4's trails during the first half of 2024. The Model Y also became the only all-electric vehicle to place in the Top 10. Electrek also mentioned the possibility of the Model Y outpacing the Rav4 in 2024's second half.

It also brought up that despite Tesla's sales being down in Europe, the automaker's performance in China was good. Electrek then mentioned that with buyers being given incentives, Tesla's performance in the United States could witness another boost.
