The outlet also shared that Tesla has been having difficulties due to a demand slowdown, as the company's Europe registrations spiraled down to 16% across Europe in 2024's first eight months. Plant managers have also visited the homes of employees who filed for sick leaves, as per Handelsblatt.
IG Metall's Regional Chief Dirk Schulze expressed that the home visits to Tesla employees were "the next absurd action against long-term above-average sick rate." In an email, workers cited reasons such as high workloads in the factory and management pressure.
In other news, Musk denied Tesla's speculated "poor performance" in China and assured that the company's Shanghai Gigafactory was at maximum capacity.
