All-Electric Peugeot e-408 Debuts With a 270-mile Range, ‘Feline’ Design

French automobile brand Peugeot has finally unveiled the all-electric e-408. Here's what you need to know about the vehicle.
The e-408 was officially launched with a 61kWh battery, which fuels an electric motor containing 213 brake horsepower, as per TopGear. The vehicle is also capable of reaching a 270-mile range, which can be adjusted through three drive modes.
These modes are "Normal," which fuels a bhp of 193, alongside the 173 bhp "Eco," and the 213 bhp "Sport." The electric vehicle can also charge up to 120kW. Apart from its performance on the road and charging capabilities, the car comes with two trim options.
The e-408 is offered with the standard "Allure" and GT trims. Its uniquely designed grille and headlights are said to exhibit a "feline" appearance.
As for its interior, the e-408's steering wheel and seats are heated. Its 10-inch central display contains various infotainment features, including TomTom navigation, Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
There hasn't been any confirmation of a final unit price. However, it can be speculated that its market value could begin at 43,900 euros ($48,487.55) for the standard version and 45,900 euros ($50,691.96) for the GT model.
