Rouven Mohr, Lamborghini's Chief Technical Officer, has released a statement regarding the company's EV plans, or the lack thereof.

Lamborghini hybridized all of its inventories five years ago to deviate from the electric age transition. The decision to hybridize was reportedly rooted in the need to accomplish long-term goals, as well as the pressure from the public, according to Motor1.

Amid the increasing demand for ICE cars, Lamborghini's endeavor to hybridize might have been the correct path. Mohr told the outlet that releasing a super sports car and EVs wouldn't be the proper decision, given the current trend. Mohr pointed out that there have been a lot of unsuccessful electric vehicles in the market.

Lamborghini's hybridized lineup includes the V-12 Revuelto, twin-turbo Temerario and the Urus SUV. Mohr added that he is content with the lineup due to its sustainability for the next decade, seemingly downplaying the potential of EV technology.

However, the official clarified that Lamborghini has not left out the initiative for electric power due to the unpredictable market direction. The official emphasized how important it is to maintain the company's brand DNA, and so Lamborghini isn't planning to deliver another standard electric car without any difference or variation.
