Routine Test Drive Turned into Carjack Incident
This shocking incident occurred on a fateful Monday afternoon, at approximately 4:45 p.m., sending shockwaves throughout the community. Fox 5 has the latest update about this incident. According to reports by FOX 5's Shomari Stone, the carjacking was confirmed by a spokesperson from the prestigious DARCARS Lexus of Silver Spring.
The sequence of events commenced when an unidentified man entered the dealership and expressed an interest in test-driving a pre-owned black Audi Q8 SUV. Little did anyone know that this mundane request would escalate into a terrifying ordeal for the Lexus Dealership Employee.

Another Carjacked Incident
As reported in News12, notably, this carjacking is not the only incident this season. Over the weekend, there were a number of vehicle break-ins and thefts in Wall Township that culminated in an armed carjacking in Newark. This adds to worries about the increase in crime in the area.
In Wall Township, a group of four thieves initially targeted the Manasquan Shores neighborhood on a late Friday night, pilfering valuables from multiple vehicles along Pine Road. Their audacity extended to stealing a 2015 Lexus from the Route 34 Wawa, taking advantage of the owner's momentary absence when he left the car unlocked and running as he dashed inside.
After being stolen, this Lexus had been a key part of an armed carjacking in Newark. Following an investigation, 29-year-old Newark resident Washir Singletary was arrested. He was charged with driving Wall's stolen car and taking part in the armed carjacking. A minor, whose name will not be released because of their age, was also caught in connection with the crimes.
A feeling of unease still hangs over the town as it deals with these uncomfortable events. Although investigations are still going on, both locals and police are staying alert in the hopes of stopping the recent wave of crime in the area.
