Ferrari is the first team to announce the launching date for its F1 car in 2024. Following a demanding previous year, the Italian racing squad is gearing up to present their newest contender just before the season's commencement.

Launch Date for Ferrari 676 Revealed

This new racing machine, bearing the moniker Ferrari 676, will make its global debut on February 13 at a press event located in Maranello. The unveiling date, February 13, 2024, holds strategic significance, falling a little over two weeks before the commencement of the fresh racing season, providing a sneak peek into Ferrari's preparations for a resurgent campaign.

As reported in F1Briefings on FanNation, incorporating the experiences and lessons from the challenges encountered in 2023, Ferrari, which secured a third-place finish in the Constructors' standings during that season, is resolved to surmount past obstacles.

These problems included ones with reliability and making tactical choices. The team had a good season in 2023, with a win at the Singapore Grand Prix. ​ Frederic Vasseur, in his capacity as Team Principal, underscores a more composed approach for the upcoming season. He is also aware of how hard it is to get ready for pre-season testing, which is one reason why the Ferrari 676 came out early.

The news came from Frederic Vasseur, the head of Ferrari. He said that the launch event would happen on February 13, which is just before Valentine's Day. Specific details about the car will be revealed on that day.

The decision to unveil the car on the 13th was primarily driven by the need for an extra day before the Bahrain test, as the timeline for preparations is tight. Vasseur noted that some other teams might also opt for the 14th, but the challenge of being fully prepared for Bahrain made the 13th the only viable option.

In the 2023 F1 Constructors' Championship, Ferrari secured a third-place finish, narrowly losing to Mercedes by a mere four points in the final race. Notably, Ferrari was the team that prevented Red Bull from achieving a clean sweep of victories, as Carlos Sainz secured a win in Singapore.

No new teams entered F1 in 2023, although Porsche had been exploring future prospects despite the failed discussions with Red Bull.
