The arrival of Jeep's debut EV, the Wagoneer S, slated for this autumn. Jeep views the Wagoneer as a luxury counterpart to its standard lineup. The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer begins at $64,945 in price, with variations reaching up to $87,440 based on the chosen trim and optional features.
Wagoneer S, Glimpse Ahead of Its Debut
This pioneer EV from Jeep's lineup starts at $64,945. Jeep is set to introduce its inaugural electric vehicle, the Wagoneer S, to the United States market. The "S" signifies a focus on speed, bold design, and style, aligning with Jeep's commitment to delivering standard 4xe capabilities for all-terrain management.
Notably, the Wagoneer S boasts a robust 600-horsepower engine, ensuring lightning-fast acceleration with a remarkable 0 to 60 mph time of approximately 3.5 seconds. According to reports, aerodynamic efficiency guides the enhancements in the design, resulting in a reimagined version of Jeep's exclusive seven-slot grille featuring illuminated LED lights.
Jeep's target is to achieve a range of approximately 400 miles, sufficient for a single charge to take you from New York City to Toronto. Moreover, the production of Jeep's pioneer electric vehicle is slated to commence this year.
The electric Wagoneer S is scheduled to hit the US market this autumn, with plans to subsequently introduce it to other significant international markets, according to Jeep.
Other Features, Wagoneer S
As per Car and Driver, the Wagoneer S offers a spacious three-row cabin with seating for up to eight, although opting for second-row captain's chairs reduces it to seven. The cabin boasts a luxurious design with standard features like leather upholstery, 12-way power-adjustable front seats, ambient interior lighting, and three-zone automatic climate control.

While the Grand Wagoneer offers more luxury, the regular Wagoneer provides upscale offerings that should satisfy most buyers. Cargo space is generous, especially when the third row is folded, although precise capacity remains to be determined pending testing.
Then, distinctive illuminated grille and patterned waterfall design are retained, but the "Wagoneer" hood emblem has been removed, and there are no visible Jeep logos at the front. The prominent hood and lower bumper side intakes appear to be mostly unchanged, now featuring integrated radars and sensors in the lower grille opening.
Per the EPA, the rear-wheel-drive Wagoneer demonstrates superior efficiency, achieving 17 mpg in urban areas and 24 mpg on the highway. Opting for all-wheel drive results in slightly reduced ratings of 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on highways, a pattern consistent for both standard and extended-wheelbase L models.
During Car and Driver assessment, they tested a Grand Wagoneer L, equipped with a slightly enhanced version of the Wagoneer's inline-six engine, and recorded a fuel efficiency of 20 mpg on a 75-mph highway route.
Examining the SUV from above, it becomes evident that it accommodates only two rows of seats. Additionally, the rear window's sleek design, along with a wing incorporated into the D-pillar, precludes the possibility of fitting a third row of seats in the rear. As report stated in Autoweek.
