Acura launched its first all-electric vehicle last summer 2023 - the 2024 Acura ZDX EV. The start of deliveries for this electric SUV is scheduled for the spring season. Acura ZDX Ev features a starting price point of $64,500 (excluding the destination charge). Notably, the ZDX bears a close relationship with the Honda Prologue and was jointly developed in collaboration with GM, resulting in substantial shared features with the Chevrolet Blazer EV.
2024 Acura ZDX EV, Pricing, Specs
This coming spring, Acura plans to introduce the 2024 Acura ZDX EV, the company's first all-electric car, to the American market. Acura has provided us a sneak glimpse at the pricing ahead of the official debut. The 2024 ZDX is expected to start at $64,500 (including the destination cost). It's interesting to note that this pricing point is rather more than that of the Cadillac Lyriq, which it is built upon.
According to reports, the 2024 ZDX is offered by Acura in two distinct trim levels, Type S and A-Spec. A 102 kilowatt-hour battery pack powers both models. There are two drivetrain options available for the A-Spec trim: dual-motor all-wheel drive or single-motor rear-wheel drive.
The Acura A-Spec model with rear-wheel drive produces 340 horsepower; power figures for the all-wheel drive variant are not yet available. The firm believes that the dual-motor A-Spec may need to be recharged 10 miles earlier than the single-motor A-Spec, which should have a range of 325 miles on a single charge.
Every 2024 ZDX comes equipped with the AcuraWatch package, a comprehensive set of advanced driver-assist systems. This encompasses features such as forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure steering assist, lane-centering steering, and adaptive cruise control.

Furthermore, the ZDX includes rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking and an active blind spot monitoring system that prevents lane changes when a vehicle is detected in the driver's blind spot.
For the Type S model, the AcuraWatch 360+ suite includes Hands Free Cruise, which appears to be a version of GM's Super Cruise with its unique branding, and this feature is standard on the Type S trim.

Reports stated that Acura initially unveiled the ZDX, marking its debut in the all-electric vehicle segment, back in 2022. This electric SUV is built upon GM's Ultium platform, the same platform that underpins the Cadillac Lyriq and a range of Chevrolet's latest electric offerings, including the Blazer, Silverado, and Equinox.
Acura has also announced that the 2024 ZDX will be its inaugural model to incorporate integrated Google services and exclusive features tailored for electric vehicles. In addition, the electric SUV will come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard features.
Last week, Acura initiated the reservation process for the 2024 ZDX, indicating that the starting price would be approximately $60,000. However, the official pricing details for the 2024 Acura ZDX were disclosed last Friday, establishing an MSRP of $64,500.
As Acura shared, the 2024 ZDX will be equipped with a CCS-style plug, making it compatible with charging networks like Electrify America. Additionally, it will also offer compatibility with the NACS plug used by charging networks such as Tesla's Superchargers. This compatibility is facilitated through the provision of a complimentary charging adaptor, which will be supplied by the Acura dealer to the client.
