Furthermore, Volkswagen stated that it is searching for potential partners from international technology firms. Meanwhile, Cariad, facing persistent challenges such as delays and restructuring efforts, is currently in the process of developing a reorganization strategy that might involve significant workforce reductions as it strives to bring new software architectures to the market.

According to reports, Volkswagen is determined to leverage the advancements from its newly established AI Lab, to enhance the intelligence of its own vehicles. Oliver Blume, CEO of the Volkswagen Group and Porsche AG, expressed their commitment to delivering genuine added value to customers through artificial intelligence.

The goal is to seamlessly integrate external digital ecosystems with their vehicles, creating an enhanced product experience. Volkswagen recognizes the importance of collaborating with technology companies and aims to streamline cooperation both organizationally and culturally.
