2024 Elantra VS 2024 Sonata
NewCars.com reveals that the Hyundai Elantra offers spacious rear head- and legroom. Thus, allowing backseat passengers to enjoy ample space for relaxation and comfort. Meanwhile, the Hyundai Sonata caters to taller drivers with its generous front head- and legroom, providing a favorable driving experience for individuals seeking enhanced legroom and headspace.
According to Car and Driver, in line with its striking exterior design, the interior of the Elantra presents a futuristic aesthetic. The driver-centric layout features a wraparound dashboard and center console, while the passenger's side adopts a minimalist design approach. Notably, a continuous LED strip runs along the width of the car, following the dashboard-spanning air vent from the steering column to the passenger's-side door panel.
The spacious passenger volume, especially in the rear seat, positions the Elantra as a strong contender against its more expansive counterparts like the Sentra and the Volkswagen Jetta.
The Elantra offers an optional 10.3-inch digital gauge display alongside a separate 10.3-inch infotainment touchscreen positioned atop the dashboard. As for the standard configuration, an 8.0-inch center display and analog gauges constitute the instrument cluster.
Notably, Hyundai's latest infotainment interface takes the spotlight, featuring standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Moreover, drivers can utilize voice recognition to seamlessly adjust climate control and heated seats by voice command.
While a six-speaker stereo is standard, the Limited and N-Line trims boast an upgraded eight-speaker Bose system. Meanwhile, Motortrend gave its two cents about 2024 Sonata. Inheriting the foundational exterior design from its predecessor, the 2024 Hyundai Sonata mirrors the aesthetic introduced on the smaller 2024 Kona SUV in the American market.
Notably, the standout feature is Hyundai's Seamless Horizon Lamp, a striking horizontal daytime running light that extends across the majority of the front end. The actual headlights are cleverly integrated into the black trim of the bumper, amplifying the sleek and low-profile appearance of the front fascia.
The infusion of horizontal design elements contributes to an impression of increased width, while the performance-oriented N Line variant further elevates the model with sharper angles and a distinctive honeycomb grille pattern.
