Earlier in the current month, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of the US Department of Transportation released three recalls impacting vehicles manufactured by the Ford Motor Company, encompassing more than 150,000 cars.
Ford Transit Cars, Recall Alert
Authorities discovered that Ford Transit cars made between 2023 and 2024 had a flaw called "Inadequate Rear Axle Lubrication," which could allow the car to roll away in the event that the parking brake is not applied. Consequently, the initial recall was executed, impacting 77,584 units. If one of the wheels seizes, the vehicle may lose power. Ford will send reminder letters to owners of this model by March 4, 2024. The recall was initiated because this "may elevate the risk of a crash."
AS USA reported about these series of recall. The second recall was announced on February 9. It pertained to two models, the E-350 2021-2022 and E-450 2021-2022. Just over 16,000 vehicles were included in this recall.
After it was discovered that the models were susceptible to power steering line detachment or leakage issues. In the event of such occurrences, there is a risk of losing "power steering and brake assist, increasing the risk of a crash."
These models have previously been subject to recalls, and the NHTSA indicated that to address this issue, owners will need to resolve the prior case before technicians can attend to the power steering line.
Letters outlining the next steps will be dispatched around March 25, 2024. The reference number for the recall is 24S07, and individuals can contact a representative from Ford in the meantime.
Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator
The most recent recall issued this month pertains to the seatbelts of over 77,000 Ford Expeditions (2018-2020) and Lincoln Navigators (2018-2020). Drivers and passengers may encounter situations where the seatbelts become locked and cannot be extended.

Notification letters are scheduled to be dispatched around March 4, 2024, but owners of these vehicles will be instructed to visit a Ford Autoshop later in the year as the company is still awaiting the necessary parts to address the issue. For those seeking to contact Ford customer service, the reference number for this case is 24S06.
As per USA Today's report, the NHTSA recall notice that was made public on Tuesday states that the seat belt pre-tensioner, which controls the tension and release of the seat belt, may accidentally lock it in place on the driver's and front passenger seats, preventing adequate retraction or extension.
Ford recalled a number of 2023-2024 Ford Transit cars because of problems with the back axle, according to a notification sent on Tuesday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The recall, which is related to inadequate rear axle lubrication that may cause wheel lock-up and possible driveshaft separation, impacted about 77,584 vehicles.
On February 8, Ford alerted the NHTSA of a recall involving around 118 Ford Explorers. This recall encompasses models from the 2023 due to steering and suspension issues.
On February 9, Ford reported another addition to the recall roster as they issued a recall to federal authorities encompassing approximately 16,543 vehicles due to power steering concerns. Specifically, certain 2021-2022 E-350 and E-450 vehicles equipped with dual rear wheels may encounter an abrupt loss of power steering fluid attributed to a defective connection between the power steering pressure line and the brake hydro-boost.
