Ford Motor Co. has recalled a significant number of compact SUVs due to concerns about cracked fuel injectors, posing a risk of fuel leakage and potential engine fires. However, the recall remedy does not address the fuel leak issue directly.
The NHTSA has revealed three recent recalls affecting over 150,000 Ford vehicles. The first pertains to Ford Transit cars (2023-2024) due to rear axle lubrication issues. The next involves E-350 and E-450 models (2021-2022) at risk of power steering problems. Lastly, Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator (2018-2020) face seatbelt locking concerns.
In a recurring trend, Ford finds itself at the top of the recall charts, a position it's less than proud of. Safety concerns persist as the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration confirms Ford as the most recalled brand in the U.S. for the third consecutive year. In 2023, Ford issued recalls for 54 vehicles, impacting around 5.7 million cars nationwide.
